Q.

If we go back 2 decades a Godrej fridge use to last for atleast 10 years or say 15 years sometimes. But today most appliances dont last more than 2-3 years. Why is it so ?
Have manufacturers got in to a conspiracy to make short lived products to boost their businesses ?
Or has India adopted the wrong aspects of use and throw culture by compromising quality

Increase in competition and increase in cost of imputes, many products are on sub contract basis or bought out components which are cost effective but of moderate quality and functional or of modular construction to be fitted easily, the wear and tear not given attention nowadays because of innovative technologies like fuzzy logic embedded system orientations also at affordable prices to consumers, amids several competitors for similar products as a result quality is becoming less important.
