Why we use mother tongue, why not father tongue when both have given birth to us.

It is always refered as Mother Land, Mother Board, Mother Tongue... by tradition

When one take birth and cry \" Maa-Maa / Avva-Avva\" etc. only mother will be there to hear and touch, not the father.....! She only is the First Teacher who teaches how to use tounge to speak / what to speak....! This may be the reason.
