Thelentilor daal or pulse (Lens culinaris) is a bushy annual plant of the legume family. It is a kind of vegetable, grown for its lens-shaped seeds. Compared to other types of dried beans, lentilsare relatively quick and easy to prepare. They readily absorb a variety of wonderful flavors from other foods.... So they are synonyms to pulses
