One of the great question ever asked in Rediff. In Mahabharatha, I liked the two characters the most. Both of them are my favourites. the first one is Karna, the second one is Grandshire, the Great Bhishma. The reason for this :-
Karna :- One of the greatest character , even though he knew he is a eldest of the pandava, he himself called as Radheyan. Moreover, he has sacrificied his lfie for the sake of his Friend, Duruyodhan , when no body cared for him, it was Duruyodhan who made him the King and hence he is for the sake of friendship fully knowing , Duruyodhan is on the wrong path, sacrificed his lfie and hence i regards him as the great person, he taught everyone how a friend should be to the entire universe.
Grandshire ( Bheeshma Pitamaha)
In todays world every one like to occupy the highest office but Grandshire due to love and affection towards his father, relinquished the kingdom of Hastinapura , which was belong to him. Not only he did relinquish, but too ...more

Karna
He was abandon by his own mother and has to go thru humiliation, and Duryodhan came to his rescue. Karna remained commited to his duties, responsibilities and obligations towards Duryodhan. Krishna played foul politics and asked Karna's kavach kundal as offering, and karna complied. Had only Karna not donated his kavach kunal, it was impossible for Krishna or pandav to win.

Kunti , the mother of Pandavas who braved to decide the end of Kauravas' evils thru Mahabharat ! She was a unique lady who when offered to ask boon from God, did not ask any luxuries but acute sorrows for her in order not to forget the Lord.
