PVR, a pioneer and a trailblazer in Multiplex development in India, is the largest cinema exhibition player in the country. Beginning commercial operations in June, 1997 with the launch of PVR Anupam in Saket, the company went on to command a significant presence in New Delhi, currently operating 19 screens in the city. The latest addition is the 7-screen multiplex in the city of Gurgaon in the NCR (National Capital Region), which is touted to be the fastest-growing suburb in India.
Since its inception, the 4 screen multiplex in Saket, has broken many national records in cinema exhibition in the country. The Cinema can boast of the highest box office collections in India for 5 consecutive years since its opening. Located around the Cinema, in the same complex are a number of up-market restaurants, pubs and fast-food eateries making it a popular hangout for teenagers, and indeed an entertainment experience for the entire family.
