Q.

Indians attacked in australia and pakistan leaves our Govt., Opposition MP's and the common man worried. Then why dont they take action against those who terrorise Indians in Mumbai-or is it that North Indians, South Indians, people from Bihar or Bengal et al. are not Indians according to the Shiv Sena and MNS ?

The world is supposedly a global village now...or is it??
It really does not appear from the way Indians are being targetted at Home and elsewhere.
Its the insecurity in countries like Australia and UK / USA which had led to these attacks ...
Attacks in the name of religion, racism or lingusitic...are all reprehensible. But instead of sheer rhetorics do we really intend to put a stop to all this medieval age recurrence !
And what the Shiv Sena and MNS has been doing is sheer regional bias / politics. And what has the Maharshtra govt. done to put an end to all this.?
The imbecilic and mean spirited / cliche ridden farce being played out by the Govt. to stop such attacks is nothing but drama being played out, ....cocking a snook at our ( all Indians) concern with sneering apathy.
It leaves us wondering at the acute lack of importance / priority...the negative / deficit hyperactivity disorder which the Maharashtra govt. is suffering from...fetching zero results and continually aggr ...more

Well, for some groups in a nation, the "way of the sword" is always a destiny of choice. Well, instead of facing up armed opposition who fight back, these folk gain regional publicity by attacking simple unarmed folk who don't fight back in large numbers, legitimizing it by associating a local woe w/ them.

Those folk who do this have not guts to take on armed opposition so they cowardly resort to hitting unarmed civilians in the name of ethnicity / caste / religion etc.

Whether Indians attacked abroad or in Mumbai.....our political leaders can only SHOW to do anything and everything to promote their party image.

"ganda hai par dhanda hai yeh.....".....All celebrities including Shahrukh, Sarad Powar, MNS - Raaj, ShivSena-Uddav, Bal.....all are busy in creating their money By hook or by crook. One day they give statement as rivalry and the other day they make official visit to their residence....

Who will take action, and against whom ? ....when all of them are crook.

Very true wat u hav mentioned here that y the govt. doesnt take actions against the insider elements who r terrorising. The issues are diversified the ones u hav stated here...one is an immigration issue...one is a foreign terrorist issue...and the third one of course is the regionalism issue which is fanned by the divisive elements like the SS.
The thot schools of SS are in fact encouraged by politicians who are putting up a facade of old friends and trying to make up with them in the name of the game...wen actually its becoming like SS glorifying themselves with the notion that they are doing real politics with this policy of making frnds with the enemy's enemy.
The Govt shud take firm action in thwarting this unnecessary divisive regional elements.

Politicians are there not to solve our problems but to create problems for us. If Shiv Sena and MNS is creating one problem for us the politicians sitting at the helms of affairs are creating another. The have little or no time to see to our well being. In every such incident like the ones you mentioned they see the opportunity to play politics. In their politics we the common people suffer.

The Shiv Sena and MNS are birds of the same feather. If Indians are attacked in Australia they do not want Aussies to Play in India. If that is the case, why are they targetting the North Indians instead of targetting the Govt. for failing to provide adequate infrastucture to all Indians be it from North or South, East or West. However, it is also the responsibility of the govt of the Northern States to provide/create adequate jobs instead of allowing them to migrate freely to other states thereby burdening other states infrastructure and creating a RUCKUS, Take the case of Mayawati. She has spent a fortune to build statues of herself and that of her mentor. Would it not have been better if the same amount had been spent to uplift the population of her own State?

I feel the first two issues you have mentioned are separate and the third issue is something different in its own way and that which requires an entirely different approach.

Indians or specially Asian communities do become hate targets in many countries. This had been a feature in the United States, subdued to an extent now but still dormant, in Britain by the skin heads who are nothing more than the despised of the society who doesn't want to do any productive work, in Germany by the neo-Nazi brigades, in France by the far right against the Africans mainly and now this phenomenon has spread to Australia too where such behaviour had not been so dormant say about 30 years ago. The mass exodus of Vietnamese, Cambodians, even the former Yogoslav republic citizens, the Timorese had a effect on the way the Australians started looking at the immigrants. There is only so much that, India can do. It can take up the issue on a serious level with Australia and bring international pressue to d ...more
