'Karva chauth' is one such occasion, when most married Hindu women in North India seek the blessings of God for their husbands' long life. Being a single soul, I can't dedicate any song to my beloved, whom I yet to come across. But still prefer to quote something that has some relevance and amazing chemistry between couples drawn in many Bollywood movies too. 'Karva chauth' festival is beautifully picturised with either theme songs or with heart-touching lovely sequences involving the lead pairs. DDLJ became most popular in which the King of Romance Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol share awesome feelings. 'Chand chupa baadal mein' in Hum dil de chuke sanam is yet another mellifluous song. Kabhi khushi kabhi gham, Judaai, Gunahon ka devta and so on are to name a few that portrayed 'karva chauth' very well.. The very significance of fasting by spouses is meant to pray for the long life and prosperity of their hubbies and fiances. Pyar sirf ek lafz nahin, woh ehsaas hai jo marr kar bhi nahin ...more
