Not merely the judicial system is at fault The fault mainly lies with our law makers who have made the Procedural law so ponderous that delay is inevitable. Our Main laws like the CPC & CrPC, Evidence are based on out dated system of British justice where ther is very low population thus the litigation is naturally less. Another reason for delay in justice is that it suits the criminals and professional very well so the criminals can avoid justice as long as possible and the so that the witnesses can be indimated and turned hostile as is happening every day Mukhtar Ahmed, Babloo Srivastava and all the big gang lords get away scott free. Therefore there is urgent need for swift justice, as in Bhopla Gas case Skipper building case,
Even the laws regarding compensations Like the Consumer Protection Act, the Human rights act have become mired in delay and govt Apathy

Yes absolutely. This is the serious matter to consider urgently by the Governement and People. Delay of justice is also a punishment. This also creating negative impression in people about justice and law.

Yes ofcourse. The adjournment ( Vaida) is very liberally granted by the Court for number of times providing chances to the respondents to take revenge on the complainant by asking for adjournment every now and then and making the complainant to spend money every now and then to arrange to bring the witnesses to the Court. Unless the Court fixes ceiling to the grant of vaidas and take some interest to dispose off the case with least possible delay, the complainants will console themselves with the phrase that \' Judgement delayed is the judgement denied\'

This is indeed, food for thought. The tenets of justice demand that even if ten criminals go unpunished, not even a single innocent person should suffer for no fault of his or her.In the Indian context, justice, is indeed, a nerve-wreckingly time consuming process and unfortunatelyu the impression is created that it is responsible in some way for the rising incidence of crime.
