Kufri:
By air: The nearest airports are at Chandigarh (120 km), and Simla (63 km).

By road: From Simla via Kufri the distance is 45 km and via Kandaghat the distance is 61 km. Kalka is 86 km away. Regular buses for Chail leave from Simla, Chandigarh, and Delhi.

Chali:
Chail hill station of Himachal Pradesh acts as a honeymooners paradise. Chail lies at a height of 2,250 metres above the sea level.Bhupinder Singh, Maharaja of Patiala, when was facing an exiled from Shimla, he decided to create his own summer capital, which was Chail. Chail was perfect - it was surrounded by a thick cover of majestic, soaring deodars, Simla was just 45 kms away,

Kufri is noe of the closest and most popular destination to enjoy the winter snow fall around Shimla. One can Take a train till Shimla from Delhi or a Volvo bus for comfort journey from Delhi itself, however the train route is much preferred so as to enjoy the scenic beauty, but one will need to change the train from Kalka, wherein you will switch to the narrow gauge service of the Indian railway. From Shimla, Kufri is just 15 km away and you can find ample buses and taxi services to there.

Chail: Popularly known as the summer capital of erstwhile Punjab ruler Maharaja Bhupendra Singh as well as the Switzerland of India. One can reach there by taking a bus from Chandigarh (PEPSU roadways) or a taxi from Solan. If you prefer going by train you can catch up the same train as for shimla and get down at kandaghat, from there catch a bus or taxi service to chail which is only 29 Km. Both are near to Shimla. Kufri is on Shimla Rampur highway and Chail has a link route between Shimla and Kandaghat.
