Q.

"Just like Rahul Gandhi who is saying the BJP is poisonous, that they are dangerous. Mamata also has to speak more strongly. That's what many Muslims are feeling. I also think if there is a coalition government, Mamata should go with the Congress," - Imam Barkati the Shahi Imam of the Tipu Sultan mosque in Kolkata. Any comments?

All I see is non-BJP alliance is highly disappointed by not seeing Mandir issue in BJP's agenda and moreover the minority votes are getting split between them reducing their share to 1 or 2%. Added to it, there is no strong leadership in Congress to bring back all frogs of UPA under single umbrella to fight BJP.
So all kind of desperate efforts are on scene to keep communal issues alive to polarise the minorities votes which is getting reflected in recent bigmouth speeches of Rahu, Kejariwal, PC, Kurshid, etc.
As for Barkati, recently he had given statement to support TMC, probably it must hv prompted Cong. to take leverage of him to negotiate with Congress since Didi is in her mentally weakest spot after ANNA deserted her.
But it takes Sonia herself to visit Culcutta to pamper Didi's ego.

Very sad indeed - and these Imams are no where to be seen when there is any problems, but whenever there are elections, they want to interfere and create communal atmosphere

BJP will be the single largest party, sir. With its money power it can buy few more members to form the Govt. But again we ,the common people have to bear the burnt of coalition politics, which may lead to poor governance. Mamata is very much unpredictable. She will support a Govt. which provides help to fulfill her political ambitions.
