No i don't think so that cricket is killing all other sports in india.
Cricket today is standing tall because of the work of crickters who have given back to the game by stting up academies, running coaching camps & the most important one settng up a pension plan for the retired cricketers.
When cricket was new in india, at that time we were champions in hockey and other games. Since 1983 there is so much craze about cricket. After 1983 we have performed really well in this game that's why this game is popular today but if take other games what they have done in hockey 99% we loose everytime.

Rajyavardhan singh rathod won silver in olympics and he got reward for that.
conclusion is if you will perform you will get reward.
crickters are performing no matter after two or three months
but atleast they win a trophy that's why bcci is now world's
richest cricket control board.
one another example is of "pakistan" there hockey players are worshiped why ? Reason is one : there h ...more

As cricketers earn huge amount of money ,our children's first preferance is cricket. As cricket earns a lot of money from advertisements (due to viewers ship ),no sponsor comes forward for other games.Without sponsors, other games r getting killed.
