We have enough mechanism to take to task and punish those who are corrupt. Only the will to take action is lacking among the political leaders because either they themselves or their lackeys are involved in corruption.
There is no need to create additional bodies and spend crores on staffing them and also there is no guarantee that the people working for Lokpal will not behave the same way as those in other bodies do.
Once the Lokpal is passed by the parliament, it belongs to all the parties - not only UPA or Congress. BJP has no right to criticise govt on this for inefficiency because it is also their own child.

Lokapal itself is a fake idea and at first place Team Anna including Craziwal & Kiran Bedi, every one who advocated the idea to Lokapal is to be blamed.
It is going to be just a white elephant and going to be a dummy body. We all hv seen how how ppl. like who was one more companion of Anna misused the Lokayukt.
India has enough constitutional bodies to tackle the corruption and media is also tip toe to expose the scams and all needed is proper governance speed-up the process of investigations & fill the loop holes, which can not be done by Lokapal concept tossed by some amateur, mindless, self centred activists.
