Not shocked at all as i had mentioned earlier too that this Olympics will belong to the new brigade & would be full of surprises. This was proved when Lochete won the first event & Phelps was not even on the podium finishing fourth. I think he is now a shadow of what he was away from his peak at beijing. Also as its said Change is permanent while rest all is temporary so we need to move on!!

Not shocked, but really thrilled to see someone more competent dethroning a champion. Carl Lewis, had been the unchallenged sprint king for four conscutive Olympics. A remarkable feat indeed. He was lucky that Ussain Bolt was not paticipating in any of those games. It denied millions of viewers a chance to get "shocked" or "thrilled"
The Olympic as well as World records are re -written with evey such event. No world or Olympic champion can securely and confidently perch on the top of the victory podium, without confronting serious challenges from unknown dark horses.
