The only party amongst these which itself is not sure which way it will swing is the JDU (U). The reason for that being projected in the media by the party itself is that if NDA annoints Narendra Modi as the Prime Ministerial candidate in the next general elections, it will lose the secular votes of the Muslims because of the tarnished image of Modi during the communal riots in Gujarat more than ten years back. Only MNS may join NDA if Modi has been projected as P.M candidate by B.J.P. If this happens all other mentioned parties may go alone in the elections & keep their options open but I don't see any of this joining hands with UPA.
