JDU (in Bihar), MNS (in Maharashtra), Biju Patnaik (in Orissa), AIDMK (in Tamil Nadu) etc, will forge alliance with UPA or NDA in the next elections?

The only party amongst these which itself is not sure which way it will swing is the JDU (U). The reason for that being projected in the media by the party itself is that if NDA annoints Narendra Modi as the Prime Ministerial candidate in the next general elections, it will lose the secular votes of the Muslims because of the tarnished image of Modi during the communal riots in Gujarat more than ten years back. However, I feel Nitish is trying to play a political game and wants a bigger role at the National level. Unfortunately, Yeshwant Sinha called his bluff and challenged his decision. Nitish, however brilliant he may be has not been able to built a strong persona at the national level as much as Modi. Besides, his own party is dependent in Bihar for support and alliance from the BJP, which may again boomerang on him. By taking a strong anti Modi stand Nitish has put himself into a tight corner, where the only option left for him will be the UPA, which as on date doesn't looks like

Only MNS may join NDA if Modi has been projected as P.M candidate by B.J.P. If this happens all other mentioned parties may go alone in the elections & keep their options open but I don't see any of this joining hands with UPA.
