The judiciary is doing really well. Otherwise, by now people would be carried away by the deluge like in Uttarakhand.

Not to forget the SC's instructions to the CBI to produce before it the minutes of meetings by which coal allocations were made. The govt has frittered away our national resource i.e coal at a paltry fifty crore rupees. The SC wants to know in detail how these decisions were made and whether thrse were made in a non-partison and neutral manner. The govt simply cant escape responsibility by stating through CBI that no such records exist. I have been a central govt employee for more than two decades and I know there is always a paper trail even for the smallest of things, records even unnecessary ones are stored in cupboards and filing cabinets even of times which are more than fifty years old. The govt cannot simply say that there are no records because that would be perjury i.e lying in the court of law, which in itself is a punishable offence.
For obtaining a passport a citizen should have a clear police verification record, for getting appointment even for as lowly a post as a Peon ...more

Yes, the high court ruling is good but more has to be done.
The system of castism is encouraged by our laws by giving special privileges to some at the cost of genuine deserving persons

They are doing the best they can. But Government... can...... and often does.......reverse such court decisions through bills/ ordinance passed in Parliament. All political parties including opposition will unite in passing such retrograde bills. Now government is working on a bill aimed at negating the court order which brought political parties under RTI act.

The irony is that just a few days back the Chief Justice designate, Justice P. Sathasivam had said, he prefers to have reservation on caste lines in the appointment of judges. Looks like Caste is Ok for Judiciary but not Ok for political parties. Moreover what about tainted lawyers and Judges are they debarred from holding offices if they are convicted?

Nothing is likely to improve anything which is repulsive 2 a sensitive person; d marks of an intellectual is, they never quickly come 2 judge anything. No procession ever carries a banner of any caste: clearly caste seems 2 b d basis of formation of some parties, but bcuz not proved, so not banned; if those r not banned, how can it b proved that arally belongs 2 a particular caste?
