It was not required ......... if his contribution is in lieu of money then he never deserves for such ........ as he is into cong party , cong wants to impress his fans to grab the votes ....... nothing else behind this ........ at least country's CEO should not act in an emotional way or in biased way ..........

This was one way to see that sachin's fans support congress and also there was a demand and a strong lobby favouring sachin for the award. but it is given now , what is the use of shouting from rooftops
