The trend of appeasement of minorities started with Nehru, who felt that after partition Muslims living in India may feel insecure as they had live amongst the majority Hindus. This was justified immediately after partition, but Congress found this as a convenient way to get Muslim votes. Congress and other secular paties play on the fear psychosis of Muslims to simply get votes without having done much for the welfare of the Muslims. Large number are Muslims in urban areas live in ghettos comprising of pre-dominant Muslim population, these areas are under-developed, majority are poor and uneducated. Unless Muslims start thinking that they are the second largest population in India, mix with the mainstream they will continue to remain poor and uneducated, which is not good for their community nor for the country.

Its the practice of these so called secular parties to dangle the carrot of minority appeasement, but its surely dangerous for the country, and in spite of all this, we could see what MMS and SG had to face today at the meeting in Delhi
