Introduction of pollution free mass transit systems to improve public transport system and discourage use of private vehicles ,forestation on large scale to compensate for the loss caused due to indiscriminate cutting of jungles ,minimize use of chemicals in the form of pesticides,fertilizers etc replacing them with organic manures and fumes from herbs ,stopping discharge of sewrage in rivers etc.to start with.We should have a national policy which should be followed and implemented strictly.

There is no simple way in India, I think nobody really cares. Yes, in their thoughts, but not by their actions. And do not blame the politicians because they are a statistic mirror of the population itself.
