The Department of Economic Affairs (DEA) which is a part of the Finance Ministry has disclosed that the minutes of this critical and crucial meeting held to bring a shroud of convergence in decision making does not exist!
This is a serious lapse that links to the chain of conspiracy which dominates the 2G Spectrum scandal. Was this procedural lapse deliberate?

Nothing short of an explanation from the Prime Minister can fill this void in documentary evidence. The Prime Minister cannot continue with his silence on this matter.
The then Finance Ministers position in the Cabinet is getting increasingly untenable. He should be removed forthwith.
There should be a focused enquiry on how there are no formal minutes or records of such a meeting.

Yes, it has to be. It has become so common that important and classified files disappear for convenience and reappear again, once the matter is old. There is a systemic failure of the Government in administration. It's dangerous.
