How many parts of Islam? viz. Sunni, shia, kurds, .....pls tell.. what the difference between them? How all are Muslims? Why Bahais are not Muslims?

Because of Islam's great growth geographically in the first two centuries of its inception, there needed to be a larger set of Islamic laws capable of handling the different needs of Muslims throughout the Empire. The Qur'an and the Hadith were not detailed enough to provide all the answers. Therefore, in the 8th century A.D., there arose a school of legal experts who interpreted and applied Islamic principles to different situations throughout the Empire. However, different scholars disagreed with these experts in various areas. This led to a variety of legal schools of thought within Islam.
These different schools became different sects within Islam. The largest of the sects is the Sunni which comprises about 90% of all Muslims. The next two largest are the Shi'i and Sufi. Allah prohibits any division in religion and religion follewd bt prophet mohammad pbuh was Islam and Prophet was a muslim - Islam is based on quran and sunnah of Prophet . Allah says that those divisde religions for profit and minor gains wordly will be dealt with seriously on day of judgemnemnt --

As far my knowledge sunni shia both folllows KURAN in different weays.
