Only in homes ladies take the upper hand in cooking. When it comes to cooking in large scale - Hotels, Hostels, Guest houses, Marriages etc. etc. men take over the cooking. Thus for large scale cooking men and small scale, women all over the world are engaged.

I think in India, in some community in Meghalaya, all household work is done by a male. He has to go to bride's house and live there, just like we have a custom with brides here.
