Even sale or quote also can be antonym to auction depending on context. Putting it on sale can be opposite to put it on auction. Also quoting price is reaction to auction and can be considered as antonym.

Auction is conducted ,mostly on behalf of the mortgagee,
Generally there is no will of the original holder of the property
Where as thesaleis done by the owner at hiswill
I therefore think that sale or to sell should be the antonym.
