It depends on how much BP the person have.Very high BP need correction with drugs. If mild elevation of BP,then reduction of salt, excercise, yoga, meditation etc can be tried. All patients with a high BP should consult a doctor. There are many causes for a high BP recorded at a single time, like physical (after excercise BP is high) and mental state (anxiety can elevate a BP measurement) and many diseases.

BP can be controlled by controlling our diet mainly, we have to cut down the intake of salt in the body and we should avoid fried food and fast foods, also we should not take much of red meat, also we should practice regular walking every day atleast for 30mins in the fresh air, also we should practice some yoga everyday, then we can effectively control BP
