Different Muslims will give you different answer to this question. The people who launched Kasab will say yes and bring out religious quatations to justify their actions. Other Muslim might not publicly agree with them and point out some other religious quotes.

If the butchers like lashkare-e-tohiba and alqueda are soldiers of god, then their jihad must be acceptable by Quran, but only doubt is whether the god is creator or destroyer :P

It is not acceptable as per quran at all i would suggest u read quran , i mean the english translation. the problem is with the people mis interprating quran, this holy book does not advocate violence in any chapter.
