Q.

Is the Indian Hockey on downfall? Even if we qualify for the London Olympics, I do not feel they will be better placed. The last spot is reserved for them. Do you feel we can perform better there?

You are very right and I fully agree with you.The Hockey is loosing its place in the world of sports in general and in India in particular because of the lack of support to it from either the government or the corporate or the public. The authorities concerned should give a serious thinking to revive the game by bringing some innovative ideas and incentives to the players.

...india is currently ranked 10th....we should aim to finish at 6th or 7th in London Olympics....if we do it will be a good achievement....with current form of the team it will not be easy to defeat teams like Australia, Germany, Dutch and Spain, but we can give a good fight to the teams like Pakistan, South Korea and Britain and can achieve a 6th position finish and then we can aim for better position in 2016 Olympics.
