Absolutely, it is worth it. It is one of the more developed places in Africa.
Capetown is one of the most beautiful, luxurious cities in the world as well as South Africa. It's breath taking views, luxury and 5 star hotels are what makes South Africa well worth a visit! Cape Town is not only the most popular international tourist destination in South Africa, but Africa as a whole. This is due to its good climate, natural setting, and well-developed infrastructure. The city has several well-known natural features that attract tourists, most notably Table Mountain which forms a large part of the Table Mountain National Park and is the back end of the City Bowl. The air is full of joy and is very atmospheric, as the locals and entertainers show off their African, tribal dances and hymns that are very catchy and different to see than all the city life you are used to.
