When a person is really mourning, his mind is too disturbed to react to any comments made by other. They also do not bother as to who is attending the funeral nor force others who are not interested in mourning to join the mourning by preventing them to go about their normal duties. A genuine mourner will also not prevent those relatives whom he considers his enemies from performing their duties in paying homage to the dead person. From what they did and cross checking with the above points one can conclude if there was any overdoing or not

Mourning is but natural because Bal Thackeray formed Shive Sena and made it a political force to reckon. You may agree or disagree with his politics but cannot deny that he was man with a lot of clout and was the final word in Shiv Sena for so many years. So he did have have a lot of admirers, who would mourn him on his death. As for the overdoing part of it, I think that the media and the speakers were doing it to an inimaginable extent. The fact is he was just a politician of a regional politician who not just never went beyond the state, but whose party is still struggling to establish itself in Western and Southern Maharashtra and it come to power in the state assembly only once. The speakers on TV almost made him appear saintly

Any death will invoke the sentiments and emotions of people and only the good and positive things of the dead person will be on focus. There will be uneasiness as the feeling "This person is no more".
will bring extreme sadness. So Shiv Sena's mourning is natural. As years roll by, people will become normal.

Being a political party, its but natural, if you remember, in 1991 the congress party had carried the ashes of Rajiv Gandhi all over the country, just for votes
