Is railways right in hiking passenger fares? Or was it right by NOT hiking fares for years continuously?

It is better that they double the fares and give services that are in line with what we are paying - users don't want low ticket prices only - they also want reliable, safe and comfortable journey. At this stage, even the low fares are too much for what travelers get in return - travelling doesn't only mean getting from point A to B.

All are the politcal stunt. There are lot of black money in abrod, All of them belongs to the poticians of all the politicalleader. There is one saying India is poor NOT INDIAN.

Indian Railways still have one of lowest fares compared to any other mode of transportation in entire globe. Political compulsions probably were main reasons that fares were not touched all these years. It is step in right direction to hike the fares. Only timing appears to be absurd. It should have been done in proper manner in upcoming rail budget.
