Because we are used to blaming the system and the politicians for everything, rather than get into the system and see how to change things. We need the government to do all good things but at the same time we do not follow simple things like following traffic rules, littering, jumping the queue etc... so hypocritical we all are.

As most of the present politics is here to make not to serve. They were history sheeter earlier than coming to politics. They are to buy the position like any other business. It has become like a family business. Most of them are uneducated & if they are it is due to their muscle power they have got a degree. As no one unless having the matching greed are not interested to get into politics.

The wages are too meagre as per recent standard, so all the members of the Leftist politicians family have to look for other work to run the family. Still all over the country there are thousands of full time party workers of these Left parties. The affluent among them have inherited ancestral property. You would find that only the Left party leaders are incorruptible and there are almost no example of defection. When Com. Jyoti Basu was offered Prime Ministership on a platter, he refused as his ...more

Politics is not a career in India. Because in a career you need qualification, Age, experience etc like for other professions. Here anyone who cannot fit into any other career decides to join Politics.
