Whenever a militant outfit is banned, it resurfaces with a new label. And the leaders and members of this new organisation are always the activists of the restwhile banned outfit. The intellignce agencies of both the Centre and the States are aware of this. It has already been reported by the intelligence agencies that the Popular Front of India is the renamed, once banned SIMI.
So far as, militant groups and their activities are concerned, our intelligence agencies have gathered first class information, with very reliable dossier on each of the activists. What is the need of the hour is cracking the whip, mercilessly by the Govt. But the Govt is laways reluctant to take proactive measures, for reasons best known. We are a Nation learning things the hard way, after enough damage has been done by anti nationals.

There are many versions of SIMI allover India waiting to break our country's cultural fabric. Sadly, our govt blames Pakistan everytime, instead of looking inwards (vote bank politics ??) and taking steps to correct this. Azad Maidan incident is the most recent reminder after Assam Riots followed by mass NE exodus from allover India( estimated at over half a million )..
