He has been one of the root cause of the non solution to the perennial kashmir issue which could have been done during his tenure but he kept on lingering with the issue. His soft stand on sensitive issues & not arriving at proper solutions has led to many such other issues for us today!!

Can't say. But its said that his policy on dividing states on the linguistic basis had created some big issues and territorial loss to many states.

May be some of his policies were hvng flaws due to itz own limitation, but India should be thankful to both Nehru and Indira for where it I being today in terms of self-reliance, foreign policy, etc. and not being one more Pakistan inspite of adverse conditions during those days.

Easiest thing to do is to condemn the very person, on whose shoulders, you are standing on today
No person is perfect and Nehru has and his share of mistakes.
But to really understand his contribution just look at our twin brother across the western border.
We both were born together in same conditions and background, with them having more advantages than us.
Yet, since they never had a leader like Nehru, who could not lay down strong foundations for a progressive economy, they are virtually a failed sate today

Particularly the Kashmir Problem....while Raja hari Singh clearly mentioned that kashmir was a part of India .. No UN intervention should have been entertained in 1947 ... But Nehru being misguided by Lady Mountbaten signed the treaty and released the azad kashmir to PAKISTAN...and the result 5 wars...and unending tension between two nations....

I disagree with the opinion you have stated here, because i sincerely believe it is the people of this great democracy who are responsible for most of the social problems we are facing today and not Pandit Nehru or for that matter any one leader of this great Nation. The real power is in the hands of the electorate to make or mar the future of a country in a true democracy and not in the hands of leaders.
