Yes he is a force to reckon with in the state of Karnataka as he has been a leader of the masses in the state with a strong hold which cannot be overruled by anyone so soon!!

I think its force to reckon with. BSY has lot of followers in middle and north karnataka(accounts 2/3 of MLS seats). I think he will be sucessful if he doees not go Devegowda way. Deve gowda is vokkaliga leader and BSY lingayat leader. And if lingayats support him as he anticipted. And morever he is the only Lingayat leaders who is acceptable to all lingayats. He has lot of symapthy that he shunted out of cm out of conspircies. If he show little politcial maturity, then no doubt he may be the king maer or king. But he shud not promote his family like HDD.
