Is it wrong to keep a wild animal as a Pet ?

With large predators like wolves and tigers and with very strong, intelligent animals like monkeys, it's never a good idea. they can turn on you and very seriously harm or kill you.
animals that would be smarter to keep as pets are anoles, spring peepers (a type of frog), squirrels, crows, pigeons and garter snakes (they're non venomous). none of these animals pose a serious threat to you and removing them from the environment won't affect it. also, these animals are all easy to care for.
