New cheque leaves containing appropriate security features compatible with cts are being introduced. Th e non -cts cheque leaves will not be in force after 31st dec 2012. Therefore they need to be replaced. However , State Bank of India accepts them for transactions within the same branch ie both the accounts are held in the same branch which issued the cheque leaves as the cheques will be dealt with in the same branch and they need not be sent for clearing. Other banks may also follow suit similarly. Venugopal.gv
