Question is whether he is really ruined. The employees of KFA are ruined, may be even KFA may close. Many banks including Public sector banks have given him against security frim United Breweries, which is not only one of the biggest alcohol companies in the world and it is very much in profit. In any other country such security would have been forfeited by the banks, but not in India. The man continues to waste his money in F1 racing team and other extravaganzes. The loans given by banks will beco

No alcohol doesn't ruin homes. Nagging wives, abusive husbands and horrible economic policy- on the contrary- ruins homes. Mallaya's downfall has to do more with how he ran kingfisher airlines. "Bad habits" are not related to ruin. Comrade Kim Il Sung was an avid charas user and a bhang user. Yet, in his rule, N. Korea became Asia's first buyer economy long before Japan and South Korea did. Marshall Tito too was a charas and a bhang user, and under his rule, Yugoslavia became top 25 UN nation. His successor, Slobodan Milosevic, was a sober man, had no bad habits etc., yet he ruined Yugoslavia by way of civil war.

There are only 3 ways a household can go 2 ruin:

First is the abusive husband. An abusive man will always remain abusive. When sober, he is just more discreet about his abusive habits and under intoxication, he is more open about it. People like this need personality counseling, and liquor has nothing to do w/ his abusive habits. It just brings his nature to bare light. ...more

Alcohol ruin many families
But in Mallya 's case
Extravagance & extra curricular activities spoiled his business
His expenditure for making calendars for KF is huge than 5 -6 months salary of their staff
Sad
And
It is a lesson to alll
Costly lesson to Mallya & son sidharth

In case of Mallaya, Alcohol did not ruin his home. In fact Alcohol took them high. Had they decided to remain high on Alcohol they would be floating in heaven by now. Unfortunately they decided to jump on to a plane thinking it would take them still higher much faster. But the plane crash landed and instead of going to heaven they have landed in hell.

Alcohol has been ruining many a homes since the dawn of human race.....
But in all cases the alcohol vendor becomes MALAMAAL ...
Bcz his customer finds them to consume their product at their dictated price
And this is for the fact that the drunkard remains always at the lower hand....
Thatz why the wine vendor makes the rank profit
Same way Vijay Malya the Alcohol king is never at loss for being an alcohol merchant
Itz his Kingfisher Airline which went out of order b4 take off......
