1.

Have a separate email address to give away on such occasions. It's quite safe to give such email addresses. But do not give other contact information without trust or discretion.

depends upon who the person is on the other side and wat is ur intention of chating . if u r serious type of person, decent , reserved , sensitive etc dont give without any specifiic reasons and als unless u knw the person. but on the other hand if u r jovial, and using chatting , mailing just for fun and furthr any obcscene msg u can bear than giv. so first evaluate ur self properly then give

Giving out your email address online is absolutely fine as you are not revealing your password. A person can misuse your email id only if he is able to access it. This is not possible unless he obtains your password. So until you reveal your password online, it is safe to give out email id.
