Animals dont have the ability to think as we do. The way they live and think is completely different. Like we are the only species that can question like this.
There's no discovery if they can or cannot. Dogs "cry" as in yelp when they are injured or hungry, etc. They to an extent have feelings otherwise they wouldnt bark when angry or whine when lonely.
