The OIL PSU officers are living on a salaray which was finalised 12 years ago. The false propaganda unleashed by Media should be blamed for the mess created. Did the media take the pay slip of the officers and declare to public thru their channels about Rs 1.0 lakhs plus salaray which the Govt claims. When the OIL Companies are given the Navaratna Status and the board is empowered to decide on the wage revision of officers, why the Govt wants to excercise its control on pay revisions. When the Govt declared the Administered Oil pricing mechanism is dismantled then why the Govt should control the price of the OIL. They should better leave to the OIL Companies to decide. The Govt never wants to lose its control on these Companies for the benefit of certain vested interest. The OIL officers work load is demanding and extended which can be ascertained by taking to their families. The Media went on a cheap publicity by calling the officers traitors etc.,. Why the Govt is not able to do just ...more

An inquiry should be initiated against those who have created an environment which lead to a situation where Associations and Federations were forced to choose the path of strike to lodge their protest. Government should withdraw all repressive measures taken against Oil Sector Officers Associations'
leaders. Prime Minister should act in his wisdom and save this nation from clutches of bureaucracy to avert further disastrous effect of strike". The electronic media should instead of becoming means of government propaganda, should organise open debate wherein views of PSU officers, economist, opinion makers and bureaucrats could be heard by everybody. The government is making a false propaganda that entry level PSU officers would get a salary of Rs 1,00,000 per month. As per Department of Pubic Enterprises guidelines issued, gross emoluments of an entry level officer comes out to be Rs 38,317 if posting is
in remote locations". The entry level officers would get Rs 4,000 5 ...more

Media has been purchased by Govt. with the money power of one private player in oil industry, who has a dubious past during its creation. The officers of oil PSUs started a war thinking that it will fight with ideologies which was available during Mahabharata era. But current war is fought without having those earlier days cultures which we like to dream about. The educated officers are not hardcore politicians. That is the reason they have been termed as terrorist, deshdrohi etc. Thay can not hit back as in this case. I feel sorry for them. My full support to oil PSU officers. Govt has no right to malign them.

REgardless of the fact, Why on Earth didn't the PRESIDENT OF THE COUNTRY (Chief commander of the Armed Forces) order a FULL mobilization of ALL reserve logistic truck vehicles of Indian Army, to deliver fuel.....The Army's bill can be stamped on whoever is found "guilty" of the "actual facts" in any fair investigation. THats how it gets resolved in countries like China.

This is why PSU logistics should be run more in a JUCHEIST way. To resume supplies when strikes hit, ESPECIALLY for things like OIL SECTOR, you can take over refineries, and admin bldgs w/ Engineering Brigades.

Then, you have a civilian mechanism which investigates, and punishes the guilty. But the next call lies on the PRez.

Medias tend to be pro public not pro facts or factions ,which have no charm for them. they never take efforts to go in to the details or remain aloof from many happening in our country, they have taste for sensationalization of events or gossips on film stars.
