Even more importantly, he's asking players like Zaheer to take retirement. This is what I make from his statement when he said that Zaheer is like Sachin. However a lot of people infact more than half think that he's really praising zaheer at cricket mohalla. What do you think. Indian bowling unit is very weak and what you mean is also right.Answered by Abdur Rasheed, 21 Sep '12 04:24 pm
Look at the Indian pace attack in yesterday's match against Afghanisthan ie Zaheer, Balaji and Irfan Pathan. Was this not the very same pace attack that won the series against Pakistan in Pakistan many years back. Today all these bowlers are on the decline and they are not getting any younger. The only genuine pace bowlers India has unearthed is Umesh Yadav, but what is the guarantee that by over playing him he may also burn out early like Ishant Sharma. So yes Dhoni is right if he says our bowling attack is weak, especially in the pace department.Answered by Manoj Adwani, 20 Sep '12 10:16 pm
Very true.. We were dependable on Zaheer as our express bowler but due to reduction in speed and known tactics is has become in effective... balaji has speed like spinners... Ashwin is good ... Irfan good in some matches.... ek bowler pe naiya thodi paar lagegi... Pak has scored one hundred eighty five runs even in ninteen overs... we need at least two good express bowlers ... good in speed and economy and wicket taker like washim Akram or Brett lee with good fielding abilities also.... if we want to live with some respect.Answered by BABASAHEB ANDHARE, 20 Sep '12 10:12 pm
