Can "General Reserve Engineer Force(GREF) commonly known as Border Roads Organisation(BRO) be paid more than that of defence forces as they are the real heros leading Armed Forces of India towards the International border lines of India giving up all thier lives on the edge by negotiating all the natural calamities and several hurdles created by pakistani, bangladeshis forces in india and afghanistanis ..etc outside India?

i don't think so, if this line of thought proceeds further, lot many would claim to do greater things and there would be no end to this. in any case, the real danger of every day life is faced in more brutal terms by the army guys as they are always fighting the militants. At the same time GREF people should be paid well and compensated for the hardships they undergo

It is a strange concept. My opinion is to pay more to the persons who face hardship and risk irrespective of force. For this, Govt has to make good policy by taking help of Sr IAS Officers not the officers of Armed forces. Armed forces officers will never allow to enter Sr IAS officers to give opinion saying that they know the situations better. Same thing happening in selection process of Indian Cricket team. Here it is not necessary that coach should be ex-one day international player. An example of Australia circket team can be considered. Concept of framing policies is not an easy task. I agree that Sr Officers of Armed Forces have experience but their experiences are only to be considered but they cannot be given chance in framing poliies. Due to this only, courtmartials now a days are really rediculous due to lack of knowledge of military law to the officers of Armed Forces.
