Not only gutkha and any other tobacco product any habit , if we have long association will become an addiction.

Instead of the earlier ready to consume mixes, companies are selling gutkha in a new avatar where chewing tobacco and pan masala is sold in two different sachets.

Primarily even primary school boys consume non-tobaccoed gutkas, then they slowly buy those with tobacco. In town, you may now see paan shops crowded with the under teenagers and those under 14 too buying tobacco gutkas. In the past if a student would chew paan, teacher would beat him, now the gutkas are easiest means to chew and become an unavoidable habit.
