Yes .... its much much cheaper .... and the following are some stats:
Today's rate in Dubai (22K) - Dhs.159.25 per gram x 12.11 (INR exchange value) = Rs.1928.51/- per gram.
And as per the websites showing Indian rate, its (plus or minus) Rs.2050/- per gram and you can make out the difference.

More importantly, its the quality and the purity of gold you get in Dubai .... the purest form of gold (916) is available in each and every shop .... and if anyone is found selling the cheaper stuff, the license is cancelled immidiately .... whereas in India .... hmm, needless for me to say anything ;-)

Purity is guaranteed. that is all. it may be slightly cheaper - around 4-5%. but these %^&%&% jewellers will charge 15% melting charges. so your profit becomes a loss - unless you want to buy jewellery and wear it. but the dubai designs are incompatible with indian minds.......

More than the rate, people usually buy from dubai because of the many choices of intricate designs and quality, over here in india we use more of copper blended with gold but in dubai its more of silver, so the quality is gr8ter ,hence when dubai gold is sold in india, u get ta higher value for it.

Yes. It is definitely cheaper in UAE. At any given time the difference is between 450-550 INR/ Gram. If we consider today's market, 10 Grams of 22 Karat Gold costs 25050 Rupees in India and the same is 20000 Rupees (200 Rupees more or less) in the UAE. And quality is something that is very reliable in UAE. It's 916 Genuine.
