Q.

Octopus Paul seems to be in danger for predicting German defeat against Spain. German media want him to be grilled and eaten. It would be very sad if that happens. Your views?

Poor Paul ! Very sad to hear eat it fired or grilled by the angered Germans. However, our Paul has changed his mind now and predicted as a consolation for the Germans that Germany will be going to win the third position in the World cup on today's match.....:-)

It shows that the German media too has lost their sanity in the wake of the defeat at the hands of t Spain, who defeated the Germans in the Eurocup too. Then, it was the Germans who started the ritual of predicting QWC soccer results using the Octopus..The very same media celebrated the predictions when it came true and they themselves made the poor Paul a celebrity. The media along with the Germans were too overwhelmed with joy when Paul predicted the win of Germany over world's favourites Brazil. Does the present anger and mass hysteria of the German media and the Germans is an pointer to the fact that they want to hear only palatable truths? If they believe that the octopus has supernatural powers in predicting future events, they must be willing to take the harsh predictions of the poor creature inits stride. And how foolish these Germans are if they believe that the prediction of the Octopus was the sole reason for their debacle in the WC ? Do they expect that the Octopus sh ...more

Yes, I know that there are even death threats to Paul the Octopussy. People, especially the Germans are talking of making a delicacy out of him. Their anger is understandable. It clearly shows how deeply they are disappointed by the defeat against the Spaniards. Of course, it is not the fault of the Paul since it is the Germans who made him a celebrity by introducing the concept of prediction. They shall take it in a sportive spirit which I hope they would.

Fate cannot be decided by mere prediction .It requires untiring effort to reach the fame. By predicting things the morale goes down of all the teams
