I really don't know how to answer this question correctly and don't know, if somebody can give you an answer in terms of black and white - Good or bad/ Advantageous or Disadvantageous. Just now finished commenting on an answer of Omega to my question on posterboys of Corporate world's unceremonious downfall ranging from Rajan Pillai to Sunil Alagh to Rajat Gupta.
What if Rajat Gupta did not make that fateful call, which turned out to be his nemesis. I don't know, if he would have a phonophobia for all his life. With more than USD 100 million in assets, he did not need 1.2 million dollar that he made through the deal.
But then, who know half of his 100 million dollars empire was because of this and he was just doing his routine call??
But then his greed had taken him to the hundred million dollar + assets.
Only time tells the advantages and disadvantages of being greedy. Till one does not get a negative result of greed, it has all the advantages.
