There is no need to beat children. There are better ways to teach them. Children learn better with love and affection. Actually, it is a crime but unless someone complains, nobody will take note of it.

The proposed new section under the Juvenile Justice Act could help do away with the shield provided to teachers and parents under the IPC. "If you look at the IPC, it doesn't cover mental trauma or emotional stress really.
