The law does nothing to reform criminals. we are talking about india and not UK. here they are treated like dirt in jails. i have seen the real position in my social service.
the aim must be to curb crime , eliminate crime and not criminal. in this case , sanjay dutt had a 20 year crime free life , he is a reformed man and in no way danger to society. so he deserves mercy

when he comes back , he will be in demand again, and publicity will be high atleast for one or two films

To early to make any comment let us wait and watch people were saying this when he was inside jail for about 15 months or so, but he gave munnabai etc after that only so let us now draw any conclusions in a hurry please
