Just a hypothetical question. If Don Bradman were playing cricket today, in your view, how he would have fared in comparison Sachin Tendulkar?

Don's greatest strength was his ability to face intimidation style fast bowling. Having someone "jolt" him carries no effect on the Don and even if he missed a ball to his face by half a millimeter, he would dispatch the very next one as if a infant was the bowler. That's what made Don as Don.
U don't have that style in cricket anymore. First off, the helmet gear worn by batsmen cuts off 30-40 percent of the intimidation factor in fast bowling outright. And today, even if u haven't faced a single Bhajji ball in u r entire life, u can study him MOVE BY MOVE on EVERY ball the man has bowled ever since his debut against any batsman u so desire. If u decide u r batting's like Adam Gilchrist, u can easily tune in and watch Bhajji and several other bowlers have a go at Gilchirst and see where they failed and succeded.
So in modern cricket, u can't just b a dispatcher , u r technique has to evolve constantly. I am not sure if that would've fitted Bradman's gameplan, honestly. In his ...more
