D vulgar display of wealth in buying players for d IPL was disgusting. No wonder,Kevin Pietersen & Andrew Flintoff said dey cld not wait 2 feature in d lucrative T20 extravaganza.Ironically, der side got bowled out 4 a paltry 50 in d second innings of d first Test against West Indies. On d other hand,Michael Clarke rightly put country b4 money n so did Mitchell Johnson,by deciding 2 keep away from d IPL.I hope d likes of Arjun Ranatunga will receive mre support 2 prevent cricket from falling in2 d hands of ppl like Lalit Modi, who knw nothing abt cricket.Such ppl will only ruin d gme.Isnt it??
I find the idea of paying such huge sums of money for players of any sport to be obscene - no person is worth that kind of money. Even worse are the people who actually spend all that money on a player - where is their sense of priority. They have too much money and not enough sense !

Everything ,everyone, and every game/sports is a saleable/purchaseable/auctionable property...and each individual, with a proven track record comes with a price tag...and middle men,are far too many...call them by any name...but their status is rather dubious...a lot of money is exchanged and sees many hands before the bazaar warms up to the final biddings...i feel its all cold, calculating business moves, which benefit them all, irrespective of the results....and since this kinda property ownership, has come into trend in this country...trust me,this is just the beginning.
