I don't know if u can call it "political interference", but more "factionalism" which props up now and then. Even ultra tough John Wright couldn't clean Indian team up despite him being lauded as da man who bought discipline 2 India.
It becomes hard 2 focus as a team when u have factionalism. We have a weakness in fast bowling and we have a weakness facing fast bowlers except for a few key batsmen in our team. NOT MEDIUM FAST but true fast.
The coaches of every Indian squad I seen since Kapil era seems to have an issue getting the Indian cricket team to practice in venues which makes players, especially senior's - face weaknesses such as going against fast bowlers who love bouncers at face. Going on pitches that encourage technical batsmenship helps senior batsmens in our team shine, who r the core of the team. So everything gets tailoured around them.
The entire practice regimen of the Indian cricket team seems 2 b more of showing off strengths - rather than working on our ...more
